I have owned many 1911 designs since then and was a 1911 addict for years. I purchased my first pistol in 1973 at an army surplus store in Alex City, Al. I am enjoying my retirement with my wife of 44 years, riding horses and feeding my addiction for firearms. ![]() I am 64, retired, a US Navy submarine veteran, living in Alabama. But first I want to tell yall a little about myself. I want to expand that to include the Nomad, Challenger and Medalist pistols. Some of you may have seen my catalog of Buck Marks. I need help to accurately create a historical timeline for the Browning Semi-auto.
